Meet Pat Owen, a businesswoman and philanthropist who turned her retirement into an opportunity to change lives. Pat and her late husband Buzz launched Viking Import House Inc., a collectibles business that became the leading distributor of Christmas plates in the country. After Buzz passed, Pat started Second Chance Society, a nonprofit that has helped thousands of people overcome homelessness and other struggles by providing educational opportunities and other tools for employment. Pat continued to lead the operations of Second Chance until her last days. Pat was our champion, and an advocate for the good of all those who needed a second chance. Pat's generosity, leadership, and heart will forever remain in the fabric of who we are as an organization.
